USINSK

Usinsk was founded as a village in 1966. As a town, it was founded in 1984. But the first settlers came to Usinsk many centuries ago. The area where this town is located is very difficult to traverse, there were a lot of boundless forests, wide rivers, and impassable bogs. Usinsk was growing really fast, but when the USSR broke up, the pace of constructions decreased.

According to the general census of 2011, the population of Usinsk is  42.3 thousand.  Usinsk is a centre of the Usinsk region. Usinsk is a rather small town because it is young, but it is really beautiful.

Usinsk is a place where people produce a lot of oil and gas, but Udorskii region is full of clay, salt and kerosene shale.
