It was founded in 1958. The first musical performance staged there was “Eugeny Onegin” by Tchaikovsky. It presents ballets, operas, musicals of different genres and to any taste. It is especially advisable to watch “Yag-Mort” and other works of Komi national culture. The company of the theatre is very qualified, talented and always gives excellent performances.

The theatre was started in 1918 by a playwright and a director V.A. Savin. He wrote a play in the Komi language and staged it. The play had a huge success. After that, it was decided to organize month-long courses for amateur artists. Step by step, the theatre has developed into a real cultural centre. Now it presents productions of plays both in Russian and in Komi languages. Here you can see komi national performances. The theatre toured in Russia and Ukraine. In 1997 the theatre participated in festival "Bomb" in Nurmes (Finland) with the performance"Three pigs" (the director - J.Jushkova) in Komi language.

The theatre was founded in 1992. For almost 19 years more than 50 performances were presented. A part of theater troupe is the most interesting folk-ethnographic ensemble "Parma" singing komi national songs, playing traditional musical instruments. The performances are staged on the basis of folk materials, Komi national epos, songs, ceremonies.
