According to the legislation of the Russian Federation, the foreign citizen who has arrived on the territory of the Russian Federation should notify Federal migratory service within 3 working days from the moment of border crossing, i.e. to issue an arrival notice. Before leaving from the Russian Federation, the foreigner is obliged to notify about it the company which has invited him.
The arrival notice should be issued and handed over to department of the federal migratory service in a within 2 working days from the moment of the border crossing. After notice sending, on hands, there is a tear-off part of it containing the stamp and the data of the organization which accepted him (Federal migratory service, Mail of the Russian Federation). You should keep the tear-off stub of the form. It is necessary to pass it to migratory service not later than 2 days from the moment of departure of the foreign citizen.
In case the foreigner stops in a hotel, the hotel administration engages in the registration of the arrival notice in the department of the federal migratory service. The notice is restarted for all period of residing. If the foreign citizen stays in Russia less than 3 working days, registration of the arrival notice is not required.
Pay attention that the penalty in size – 40000 roubles can be imposed on the foreign citizen in a case of absence or the registration of the arrival notice not in time. Moreover, he can have problems at following departure from the Russian Federation.
The tourist visa (B-2 visa) — foreigners arriving with such a visa must be registered in local federal migratory service, or in a hotel.
The business visa (B-1 visa) — both the organization which accepted the foreigner and the organization which invited foreigner can register him. Also, the foreign citizen can be registered in a private habitable apartment. For this purpose, the owner of the apartment applies to the local branch of federal migratory service or to any branch of Mail of Russia, fills the arrival notification of the foreign citizen on his address and registration the foreigner in migratory service. After the foreigner leaves Russia, not later than 2 working days from the date of departure, it is necessary to remove the registration of the foreign citizen in the migratory service.
The private visa — the citizen of the Russian Federation who has invited the foreign citizen (the friend, the relative) engages in his registration. He should apply to a local branch of federal migratory service.
The visa on an employment basis — the organization which hired the foreign citizen engages in his registration.
